I haven&#039;t tried making a secret door in a basement with a bookshelf (yet), but there are a few instruction sets on the web and even companies that specialize in this.  The real trick in this is designing the structure so it can carry the weight of a loaded bookshelf and still fit nice and neatly into a spot so the opening isn&#039;t obvious.
