		<description>Seriously, the higher you cut your grass, the better it will grow.  Think about this: grass is really nothing more than leaves and roots.  The more roots your grass has, the more water and nutrients it can absorb.  The more leaves your grass has, the more sunlight and carbon dioxide it can absorb.  

But cutting your lawn very, very short you&#039;re essentially removing the part of the grass that allows it to grow healthier and stronger.  

That being said, some types of grass do grow better at a lower height than others.  If you want a really short, dense grass that requires almost no mowing (but does require thatching every year) then you might want to consider planting Zoysia grasses.</description>
