One of the greatest strengths of the Internet is the vast amount of home improvement resources now at “the average person’s” fingertips. I was really enjoying the blog over at Don Vandervort’s hometips.com when it apparently stopped being updated this summer. No matter, the site is still a great starting point for a lot of around the house projects.

Some of the articles are scarce on details while some have plenty of great graphics and explanation. Almost all of the articles are fairly accurate and offer plenty of opinions when there are some questions about the right and wrong way to do things. Overall it’s a well written site and one which I still visit when I’m starting a project that I’m unsure about.

The great thing about this site is it pulls together a lot of repair articles with home improvement so you can kind of decide if you want to fix that old door hinge or completely replace it!
