Great Home Improvement Blog at Thumb & Hammer

Blogs - November 5, 2006

There are a lot of great home improvement blogs out there (like this fledgleling one) but one of the more established and longer running blogs can be found over at ThumbandHammer.com. He’s an average fix-it-upper living in Canada with a lot of great experience under his belt. He’s worked on two different houses and done both interior and exterior work and most of his projects end up being very impressive when they are done.

A lot of his projects start of small (like replacing a light switch plate) and end up much larger (he ends up gutting the room down to the studs!) His site has grown over the years and now it includes message boards, a diary of his own projects, photo galleries and how-to articles.

What I find most useful about this site is his honesty about what works and what doesn’t work. He usually provides photos of his work and usually tells you if something he did wasn’t really the best way to accomplish the task. Though we’re not as experienced as Thumb and Hammer, we strive to do the same thing here at Home Improvements Depot!
